LOKOMOTIV September 18 at 20-21 at Konstepidemin, studio Teater 201

Today marks the opening night of the stage LOKOMOTIV at Konstepidemin, the Epidemic of Art in Gothenburg. Jonas Fröberg, artistic director of Theatre Spira, presents a new text about the decline of freedom of speech in Sweden. The ideologies of Margaret Thatcher influence Swedish policy making more than we perhaps think. Thatcherian trends such as deregulations, privatizations, financial competition and New Public Management (resulting in increased administration for doctors, police, artists and teachers) were established in Sweden by the Social Democrats in the 80’s. The system is supported across the board, by Social Democrats and the conservatives alike. This has limited our freedom of speech and reduced the once so open policy of our Swedish governmental agencies. How? Join us at Konstepidemin tonight and we will tell you more.
